Car Tech

It's late at night. You are alone in your car trying to find your way to a distant relative's house. The directions you were given have failed you and you are now lost. Not only is it pitch black and foggy outside, but it starts to rain hard. The unfamiliar slipperier roads are causing your car to slide and lose traction and putting you in an unsafe environment. This makes it hard to use your phone and call for directions without stopping. The situation you are put in now is not an uncommon one to be in, it happens to someone everyday. Just imagine how much better off you would be if your car had the technology to get you through this dilemma.

Car Technology is improving everyday. The technology is not only making driving easier but safer as well. The GPS technology is now considered standard in every car. There is blue tooth technology, which is becoming more popular every day. Having the technology that allows your car to know when it’s raining. Also the ability and luxury for cars to be able to park themselves is now available in some models.

GPS, Global Positioning Satellite, is one of the most helpful inventions known to man. If you don't know how to get somewhere, just plug it into the GPS and there are your directions. Getting lost on your way to a relative's house is no longer a problem when you have GPS in your vehicle. It is uncommon to find a new car that does not have GPS. It's amazing how no matter what location you plug into the thing, it always knows the how to get there. Every road is on the map, along with rest stops and restaurants. It makes driving a lot easier.

Another helpful tool that is becoming readily available is the Blue Tooth technology in your phones and cars. This technology allows talking on your phone to be hands free. Now both hands are on the wheel allowing you to keep your focus on the road. No more pulling over to make a call or multi-tasking by driving with one hand on the wheel and the other holding your phone. Driving is now safer because of the Blue Tooth technology.

Imagine your car knowing exactly when it starts to rain the same time you do. The technology is now available. The windshield wipers actually can sense when it starts to rain. The wipers then tell your car that it is raining out and the roads are going to start to get slick. The car then relays this message to a drying device located around the brakes. So when it rains and the roads start to get wet, your brakes will stay dry. This allows the driver to slam on the brakes in an emergency situation, as if it was not raining outside. Now that's safe.

Who is bad at parallel parking? I'm not bad at parking but a lot of people are GOD AWEFUL. New technology that would be a luxury is having a car park itself. I know there is a new Lexus that parallel parks itself. I have no idea how the car does it but it is pretty amazing. Soon enough cars will be driving themselves. Now, if you are one of those people that choose the far away parking spot over the closer parallel parking spot, you have the technology to do it for you. Safe yourself the long walk, you are just going to have to pay a little extra.
